For the 67th consecutive year of racing at the Famed 1/5 mile, Macon Speedway kicked off Saturday night with the Spring Fling. A great night of racing was on tap for all the fans who packed into the grandstands. With 90 plus cars all ready to take the green flag for the 2013 season, it was an action packed night. The Mini Sprints opened up the season at Macon Speedway with Aaron Andruskevitch taking home the first open wheel checkered flag of the season. Exciting racing action continued in every division with Peoria, IL driver Alan Weisser making his first trip to Macon Speedway taking home the Modiified feature win. Jeremy Nichols from Shelbyville winning the Sportsman feature, John Farris with a great performance tonight to take home the street stock feature. The Outlaw Hornet winner was Decatur native Jeremy Reed and the Stock winner was Zach Leffler. Racing continues next Saturday night
