Macon Speedway Hit With Second Straight Cancelation

Rained Out GraphicOfficials at Macon (IL) Speedway were forced to postpone the Saturday, July 11 program due to heavy morning rains that came through central Illinois.  The heavy rains, on top of already saturated grounds caused the second straight rainout and the sixth in 17 nights of racing at the 1/5-mile speedplant.

On tap was Miles Chevrolet/Bud Light Ladies Night.  Six divisions of action were scheduled to run including the Sportsman in the Topless 40, the Midwest Big Ten Pro Late Models, B-Mods, Street Stocks, and Hornets.

Next up for the 70th Anniversary Season will be Kid’s Castle Night featuring the Hall of Fame Driver Reunion and CEFCU Kids Club.  The Big Ten Super Late Models will be racing as well as the Billingsley Towing Modifieds, B-Mods, Street Stocks, and Hornets.

Pit gates open on Saturday, July 18 at 4:00, grandstands at 5:00, hotlaps at 6:00, and racing will begin at 7:00.  Adult admission is $15, while children 11 and under are free.

Also, for fans who want to see some great racing during the week, Track Enterprises will be hosting the USAC Indiana Sprint week at Terre Haute this coming Wednesday, July 15.  The USAC Amsoil National Sprint Car tour will be racing at the historic Action Track.  For full info, go to terrehauteactiontrack.net.
