Macon Speedway April 25 Program Canceled Due To Weather

Preparations Now Begin For Huge Thursday Night Show

Due to early morning rainfall with cold temperatures and more rain expected this afternoon, Macon Speedway officials have pulled the plug on the second week of the 2015-racing season.  POWRi Midgets and Micros, along with the Billingsley Towing Modifieds, Street Stocks, and Hornets were scheduled to run.

All preparations now begin for Thursday night's Lucas Oil Late Model Dirt Series which will be pacing the Macon 1/5-mile bullring for a second time in series history.  The first appearance was last year.  The St. Louis U-Pic-A-Part 100 will pay $12,000 to win.  Point leader Jonathan Davenport, Earl Pearson, Jr., Jimmy Owens, Devin Moran, Eddie Carrier, Jr., Steve Francis, Billy Moyer, Jr., and Scott Bloomquist will battle stars from all over the US along with some central Illinois locals.

The Billingsley Towing UMP Modifieds will be racing for $1,000 to win and the B-Mods will be making their 2015 debut.

Pit gates open Thursday at 3:00, grandstands at 4:00, hotlaps at 6:00, and racing will begin at 7:00.  General admission is $30 for adults, while children 11 and under are $5.

For fans wanting to see some racing yet this weekend, tomorrow, Sunday, April 26 is the season opener at the Terre Haute Action Track in western Indiana.  The MSCS/KISS Sprints and the UMP Modifieds, headlined by Kenny Wallace will be in action.  Pit gates open at 3:00, grandstands at 4:00, hotlaps are at 5:00, and racing is at 6:30.
