11 Year Old Ehlers & 7 Year Old Crutchfield Win Go Karts At Macon Speedway

This past Saturday night, the Great Go Kart Giveaway was held at the Macon Speedway. Two lucky kids went home with bright shiny red and yellow go karts, after a season long drawing was held.

Each race during the season, kids signed up at the races. Each night two names would be drawn to pre-qualify them for a 1 in 22 chance at winning one of the two karts. All kids were allowed to sign up again Saturday for an open drawing of a second cart, which more than one hundred kids signed up for.

The first of the two karts to be given away Saturday was to the pre-qualified entries. All the kids came out on to the race track and put their entry form into a drawing box. One name was pulled and the winner was 11 year old Cam Ehlers of Bethalto, IL. Cam was given the choice of the two karts and chose the bright yellow one with a great big smile.

The second kart was then up for grabs to the box full of entries that was compiled during the days pre-race activities. The names were scrambled up and a winner was picked. The winner was 7 year old Braydan Crutchfield of Decatur, IL. Braden and his family were sitting in the stands and came down to the front chute of the track to celebrate his win of the shiny red kart.

Macon Speedway would like to congratulate both Cam and Braydan for their big wins Saturday Night. There are plans to hold another go kart drawing in 2016. All you have to do is enter to win, no strings attached.

Racing continues this Saturday Night September 26th with Miles Chevrolet Championship Night featuring the Billingsley Towing Modifieds, Street Stocks, B-Mod’s, Beach House Micros, and Hornets. Gates open at 5pm with a driver autograph session and racing at 7pm.
