Macon Speedway Cancels Saturday, June 7 Event Due to Saturated Grounds
Macon, IL (6/5/25) Macon Speedway officials have announced the cancellation of the scheduled event on Saturday, June 7, featuring weekly racing along with the Wholesale Batteries POWRi WAR Sprint/Midwest Wingless Racing Association Challenge Series, due to persistent rainfall and waterlogged grounds.
Heavy precipitation throughout the week has left the facility too saturated to host a safe and successful event, with additional rain still in the forecast. After careful consideration, the decision to cancel was made in coordination with POWRi officials.
“This is never the outcome we want, but the weather just hasn’t cooperated,” stated POWRi Series Director Talin Turner. “We thank our fans, teams, and partners for their understanding and continued support.”
Next up for Macon Speedway will be weekly racing on Saturday, June 20, featuring Modifieds, Pro-Mods, Sportsman, Street Stocks, and Hornets.
Any updates regarding a potential reschedule will be posted on Macon Speedway’s official website and social media platforms: www.maconracing.com
