Save the Date: June 26–27 - USMTS Makes Triumphant Return to Macon Speedway
Macon, IL. (12/10/25) - Macon Speedway is set for one of the most anticipated events in its modern era as the United States Modified Touring Series returns to the high-banked, fifth-mile bullring for the first time since 2004 on June 26-27, when the nation’s elite modified racers storm into Illinois for a full-throttle USMTS vs. UMP Modified showdown.
The last time the USMTS roster unloaded at Macon, the track’s tight corners and elbows-out style delivered unforgettable drama. Now, more than two decades later, the stars of the national tour are back, armed with more power, more parity, and more talent than ever. Illinois’ best UMP Modified competitors will be waiting, ready to defend home turf in what promises to be one of the most intense cross-series clashes of 2026.
Event officials expect a massive crowd and a talent-packed field as the country’s premier modified racers take on one of the most demanding bullrings in dirt racing. Additional support classes, event times, and ticketing information will be released soon.
Race fans are encouraged to save the date now. With the USMTS’ long-awaited return and the built-in rivalry against UMP standouts, June 26–27 at Macon Speedway is shaping up to be a can’t-miss, standing room only weekend. Fans unable to attend can catch all the action at www.racindirt.tv.
