Countdown already underway for POWRi doubleheader on DynaGraphics Night on May 17

 

MACON – The countdown has already begun for the POWRI doubleheader during DynaGraphics Night at Macon Speedway on May 17.

Features will be held from lineups set during the program on April 26 in addition to a full night of racing on the high-banked fifth-mile oval that POWRi Lucas Oil National Midget Series points leader Chris Bell called his favorite track.

Heading into this weekend’s Belleville Bash, Bell led the POWRi midget standings by 10 points over defending champ Zach Daum.

Also on May 17, DynaGraphics Night will feature a display of graphics wrapped vehicles by the Decatur-based company. UMP Billingsley Towing modifieds, UMP street stocks, UMP outlaw hornets and stock hornets will also race in addition to the POWRi midgets and micros.Macon Speedway opens the pits at 3 p.m. for POWRi shows. Gates open at 5, and racing starts at 7.

Here’s a look at the POWRI standings heading into the Belleville Bash. POWRi Speedway Outlaw Micro Series points leader Jeremy Camp is a native of Blue Mound, Ill., just down the blacktop from Macon Speedway.
